== Competencies

Keep in mind that none of those include professional experience, unless explicitly noted.

Music: Arguably one of the most reliable of my competencies; I specialize in video game soundtrack (but not chiptuney, or "8-bit"). My style can vary in a broad spectrum, but generally fits the medium the soundtrack is made for. You can see more in my Audiomack profile, where I release some tracks I do in my free time.

Programming: I am generally skillful at programming, especially within the realm of C, Python, and JavaScript, but also with some knowledge of Java, C++, Nim, Lua, and a bit of Rust. See my pinned repositories on my GitHub.
I also have some practical knowledge on Dockerfile, as well as CI build pipelines (Gustavo6046/MushMatch, zeta-group/Indusferno, etc). I've written SDL applications in C before (a software rasterizer, though I abandoned it). I'm mindful of writing clean code, as well as designing it in a flexible and efficient manner, in ways that are both versatile, programmer-friendly, and CPU-friendly (think SIMD vectorization, CPU cache, etc).

Art: I can provide art direction, but can't draw myself. I don't even have a drawing tablet (for the time being). However, I can come up with textures (Gustavo6046/mycosis), and through programming can make them more interesting, e.g. normal maps and their interaction with lighting in a 2D topdown game. Ideas, ideas!

Level design: I am not particularly competent at the visual aspects of level design, but can produce some interesting ideas and fun gameplay. I can think from the perspective of a player and avoid blunders that could spoil gameplay.

Writing: I am fluent in English and can write with proficiency. My first language is Portuguese, so I can also localize writing into that.
